VIVATION PRACTICE & MEDICAL LIABILITY WAIVER

IMPORTANT NOTICE:
Please read this waiver carefully as it affects your legal rights. By registering and attending this course, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to all of its terms.

Understanding of the Vivation Practice:

  1. Vivation is a self-directed self-improvement process designed to offer significant personal input, insight, and assistance in activating and resolving potentially intense emotions and feelings.
  2. Participants might experience unusual emotions and physical sensations during the program.
  3. Vivation is facilitated by trained individuals, but they are neither psychotherapists nor medical doctors. Participants will not receive psychotherapy or medical treatment from anyone connected with this program.
  4. Vivation is considered an experimental meditation. Its impact, if any, on manifest or latent mental or physical conditions, whether pathological or otherwise, is not fully known.
  5. No specific claims or guarantees are made about the outcomes participants may receive from this program. All results obtained from participating in Vivation are created by the participant and not by any facilitator or other party involved.

Physical and Mental Health Considerations:

The conscious breathing and awareness techniques used in Vivation may not be suitable for individuals with certain health conditions. This includes but may not be limited to the conditions listed below.

Physical Contraindications:

  • Cardiovascular Conditions: People with heart conditions or high blood pressure should consult a physician before starting any breathwork practice.
  • Respiratory Issues: Those with conditions like asthma, COPD, or other breathing-related issues should be cautious and consult with a healthcare provider.
  • Glaucoma: Increased pressure within the eye can be affected by changes in breathing patterns.
  • Pregnancy: Pregnant individuals, especially those in later stages, should always consult with a healthcare provider before embarking on any form of breathwork practice.

Mental Health Contraindications:

  • Severe Psychological Conditions: Individuals with certain psychological conditions, such as severe anxiety disorders, PTSD, or recent trauma, might experience heightened emotions or reactions.
  • Risk of Hyperventilation: Even with gentle breathwork like Vivation, there's a potential risk of hyperventilation which can lead to symptoms like dizziness, lightheadedness, or numbness.
  • Certain Medications: Some medications may affect breathing patterns or heart rate, so individuals on such medications should be cautious. Please have your client consult with their physician or pharmacist.
  • History of Seizures: Changes in oxygen and carbon dioxide levels might affect those with a predisposition for seizures.

If participants have concerns about the effect of Vivation on their physical or mental health, they should consult a licensed psychotherapist or physician before participating.

Assumption of Risk and Release of Liability:

  1. By signing this waiver, participants assume all risks for any injuries or adverse effects they may experience during or after the Vivation program.
  2. Participants, on behalf of themselves and their heirs, release and forever discharge Vivation International LLC, Vivation Professionals, affiliated organizations, employees, independent contractors, and all associates from any claims, actions, suits, damages, or judgments arising from any injury or outcome experienced during or after the program, regardless of its cause.
  3. Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless Vivation International and any associates against any lawsuit related to their participation in Vivation and to cover all costs and legal fees incurred as a result.
